Track renovation
The clean-up and repair work after the storm continues! Here is an insight into the progress:
Image 1: The rock at Finstermad has been removed and secured.
Picture 2: The passage at Blattmad, above Planalp, has been secured.
Image 3: The ballast for the track bed is delivered and distributed at Planalp.

The association Steam friends Brienz Rothorn Railway is committed to ensuring that the wonderful steam operation remains so despite the many adversities and the requirements of today’s railway regulations. The railway should be preserved, maintained and the relic of times long past should flourish. It is important to the patrons’ association that the original steam operation with its beautiful locomotives does not disappear into a museum, but can be shown in daily use in summer.
